This is the final step in becoming a new soccer referee, or to return to refereeing after a lapse of more than 3 years. You must attend, participate, and complete this clinic. A US Soccer-certified Referee Mentor or Referee Coach will guide you through the Clinic.
On-field Training is a 4-hour session covering Restarts, Offside, Referee/AR Positioning, Dynamic Movement and Mechanics, and much more. You will need a whistle, referee flags, watch/timer, small notebook and pen/pencil – you will not remember everything - and a flipping coin. You do NOT need to wear a Referee uniform. NO FLIP-FLOPS, NO CROCS or similar unsuitable footwear are allowed.
You can start refereeing after you receive your referee badge. You can order a referee kit from Capelli (discounted at https://teams.capellisport.com/REFDCORU).
